Jake Hoback started making knives in his backyard in 1990. His fascination with fabrication and inventing inspired him to build new tools. His background as a fish and wildlife scientific technician, a machinist at a turbine engine company, and rock-crawling 4×4 fabricator gave him much experience to become the knife designer and maker he is today. The engineering that goes into the knives he creates distinguishes him from other knife makers. His knives are made to be rugged and reliable.
